TIME IS GOING BY SO FAST! This week will be two months since
I got to Nicaragua.
Well, this week was a really good week. Tuesday we had a
multi-zone which was an all-day thing but it was really great. There, we heard
from the new missionaries, an Elder that is leaving this change, and President
and Hermana Poncio. Then on Wednesday we had a meeting for new missionaries in
Managua which was also all day and also got to hear from President and Hermana
Poncio. And then on Thursday we had a district meeting where Hermana Pacheco
and I had to give the message.
This week all the messages, or most of them, had the same
theme. The theme this week was Faith and Hope. As missionaries and people we
need to have hope and faith in Christ. Faith that things are going to happen.
Faith that the hard times will pass and faith that everything will be okay.
Along with that goes patience and trust in Him. Our Heavenly Father never will
let us down and always knows what we need at that moment and what we need in
future moments. But if we don’t have faith in Him then none of those things
will happen. Miracles come to pass depending on our faith. That was the theme
this week.
And with that motivation, when we finally were able to work
we were able to find new families to teach and lots of positive people that
want to hear the gospel. I’ve seen the blessings one gets when they decide to
have a better relationship with our Heavenly Father. When one makes the effort
to have that relationship and strengthen it, it changes one’s life and makes
our crazy life just a little bit easier. We’re on His team and He is in ours.
Also, one night I was walking in the dark to go turn on the
lights to the house and when I was walking back I saw the biggest tarantula. It
was literally bigger than my hand!!! I walked past it basically touching it
without even realizing it. wowo I tried killing it but it ran and to this day I
have no idea where it is. Hopefully it’s dead.
On Thursday at the zone meeting, I saw that the mango tree
at church had a ripe mango that I wanted. So I asked the elders to help me get
it. Five elders for like 20 minutes could not get my mango. The ripe mango on
the tree. They got other mangos, but that mango is still hanging there right
now (photo about this below). Which is another good news that all the mangos
are getting ripe so WHOOHOO mangos for days.

Otra semana de Milagros
¡El tiempo está
pasando muy rápido! Esta semana se cumplen dos meses desde que llegué a
Nicaragua.
Bueno, esta fue
una muy buena semana. El martes tuvimos una multi-zona que fue todo el día,
pero estuvo muy bien. Allí, escuchamos de los misioneros nuevos, un élder que
se va este cambio, y Presidente y Hermana Poncio. Luego el miércoles tuvimos una
reunión para nuevos misioneros en Managua que también fue todo el día y pudimos
escuchar de Presidente y Hna Poncio. Y luego el jueves tuvimos una reunión de
distrito donde Hna Pacheco y yo dimos los mensajes.
Esta semana todos
los mensajes, o la mayoría, tuvieron el mismo tema. El tema fue fe y esperanza.
Como misioneros y personas necesitamos tener esperanza y fe en Cristo. Fe que
las cosas van a pasar. Fe que tendremos tiempos difíciles y de que todo va a
estar bien. Junto con eso debe ir la paciencia y confianza en El. Nuestro Padre
Celestial nunca nos decepcionará y siempre sabe lo que necesitamos en ese
momento y momentos en el futuro. Pero si no tenemos fe en El entonces ninguna
de esas cosas sucederán. Los milagros dependen de nuestra fe. Ese fue el tema
esta semana.
Y con esa
motivación, cuando finalmente fuimos a trabajar pudimos encontrar nuevas
familias para enseñar y muchas personas positivas que querían escuchar el
evangelio. He visto las bendiciones que recibimos cuando decidimos tener una
mejor relación con nuestro Padre Celestial. Cuando hacemos el esfuerzo de tener
esa relación y fortalecerla, cambia nuestras vidas y hace nuestras vidas locas
un poco mejor. Estamos en Su equipo y El en el nuestro.
También, una
noche estaba caminando en la oscuridad para encender las luces de la casa y
cuando volví vi una tarántula grandísima. ¡Era literalmente más grande que mi
mano! Caminé junto a la araña prácticamente tocándola sin darme cuenta. Traté
de matarla, pero se escapó y hasta hoy no tengo idea de dónde está. Espero que
esté muerta.
El jueves en la
reunión de zona, en el árbol de mango en la capilla vi un mango madura que
quería. Asique le pedí a los élderes que me ayudaran agarrarlo. Cinco élderes
por como 20 minutos no podían bajar mi mango, el mango maduro en el árbol.
Bajaron otros mangos, pero ese mango todavía cuelga en el árbol (hay una foto
de esto). Lo que es otra buena noticia, que todos los mangos están madurando
asique WHOOHOO por tener mangos por muchos días.
