Teaching by the Spirit

I literally am so overwhelmed by the amount of love I get every week so far and all the letters. I shed a tear hearing everyone’s words.

Mom, I got your package Thursday, thank you so much! The elders were playing with the guns hahahaha it was funny (I sent small water guns for her and companion). Packages are sent to Managua and when our leaders go there for conferences or whatever is when they get them and then bring to the area. So packages depend on when the meetings are. But I loved it hahaha I was so surprised. When they gave it to me I was like ‘what the heck?’ well, anyway!

This week was an amazing week! Last Saturday we found a couple, he got baptized about a year ago and his girlfriend is pregnant and they were so welcoming and friendly. They felt like family just the first couple of days we met with them. My companion and I had set goals to teach by the spirit instead of booklet. And as we were doing that with this wonderful couple about the plan of salvation, they stopped us and told us they wanted to get married and baptized. And it had to be before either of us left the area. We cried because we were so happy for them and the decision they made. (Also side note, she is 5 months pregnant and I guessed it was going to be a boy on Sunday and when we went on Wednesday to see what it was I was right! [like almost always] hahahaha jokes but I’m so happy 

now I just need to convince them to name the baby Andres.

THE HEAT IS SO CRAZY HOLY COW!!! Ya’ll don’t understand. I know, I know mom, sunblock yeah yeah. As for the mosquitos I just carry a big thing of repellent with me everywhere now haha.

Anyway this week was good and I learned a lot but what keeps coming to my head is how much love our Heavenly Father has for us. We need to trust him with all of our heart. The things he wants us to do is for our own benefit, not for anyone else. And I know that when we apply it in our lives and put our trust in him that everything else will fall in place. Something interesting that was brought up in a lesson this week is that miracles and blessings happen every day, we just don’t notice a lot of them. And at times we may not understand why certain things are happening but we need to put all of our trust in the Lord and keep moving forward no matter what. Satan is working 24/7 trying to get us down. I seriously can’t express enough how much love I’ve seen from my Heavenly Father recently. Just by sending me to a specific place with this companion, meeting these people I can see how much he knows me and knows my needs.

This week we have two baptisms and I’m so excited. It’s for these two youth that we go to their house almost every day and teach and hang out with them. They’re such great kids.

Also, I am so grateful for all the prayers, love and support. Can’t express how grateful I am, there aren’t words for it. I love you all!

This week is lots of hard work and service and I’m so excited!!! ‘Til next week!

Literalmente me siento tan llena de emociones por la cantidad de amor que recibo cada semana hasta ahora en las cartas. Las palabras de todos me hacen llorar.

Ma recibí tu paquete el jueves, ¡gracias! Los élderes estaban jugando con las pistolas, jajaja súper chistoso (le mandé unas pistolas de agua para ella y su compa). Los paquetes llegan a Managua y cuando nuestros líderes van por conferencias o lo que sea los traen a nuestra área. Entonces los paquetes dependen de las reuniones. Pero me encantó, estaba súper sorprendida. Cuando me lo dieron no lo podía creer.

¡Esta fue una excelente semana! El sábado pasado encontramos una pareja, él se había bautizado hace un año y su novia está embarazada, nos recibieron muy bien y muy amigables. Desde los primeros días que nos reunimos con ellos los sentimos como familia. Mi compañera y yo tenemos la meta de enseñar por el espíritu y no tanto por folleto. Y cuando estábamos haciendo eso con esta pareja maravillosa, enseñando el plan de salvación cuando nos pararon y dijeron que querían casarse y bautizarse. Y que tenía que ser antes de que cualquiera de las dos nos fuéramos a otra área. Lloramos porque estábamos tan felices por ellos y la decisión que habían tomado. (Ella está de 5 meses y el domingo adiviné que iba a ser varón, y cuando fuimos el miércoles a ver qué era, ¡eso era! [adiviné correcto como casi siempre jajaja] pero estoy tan contenta por ellos. Ahora sólo los tengo de convencer que lo llamen Andrés.

¡El CALOR ES INCREIBLE! Ustedes no pueden entenderlo. Yo sé, yo sé ma, bloqueador. Y con los mosquitos ahora llevo un coso grande de repelente a todas partes que voy jajaja.

Bueno, esta semana fue buena y aprendí mucho, pero lo que más tengo en la mente es el gran amor que nuestro Padre Celestial tiene por nosotros. Necesitamos confiar en él con todo nuestro corazón. Las cosas que él quiere que hagamos son para nuestro beneficio, para nadie más. Y yo sé que cuando lo aplicamos a nuestras vidas y confiamos en él todo lo demás caerá en su lugar. Algo interesante que hablamos en una de las lecciones esta semana es los milagros y bendiciones que tenemos cada día y simplemente no los notamos. Y a veces tal vez no entendamos por qué ciertas cosas pasan pero necesitamos poner toda nuestra confianza en el Señor y seguir adelante no importa qué. Satanás trabaja 24/7 tratando de que nos desanimemos. En serio que no puedo expresar lo suficiente cuánto amor he visto de mi Padre Celestial recientemente. Simplemente al enviarme a este lugar específico, con esta compañera, conociendo a estas personas puedo ver lo bien que me conoce a mí y mis necesidades.

Esta semana vamos a tener dos bautismos y estoy emocionada. Es de dos jóvenes que vamos a su casa casi todos los días a enseñarles y pasar tiempo juntos. Son excelentes chicos.

También, estoy tan agradecida por todas las oraciones, amor y apoyo. No puedo expresar lo agradecida que estoy, no hay palabras para ello. ¡Los amo a todos!
